This is a tutorial on how to conduct the mining of gold from moss. This tutorial applies to all locations with gold and moss, but the pictures are specific to South Fork of the the Stillaguamish River in Western Washington (Robe Canyon area--which is east of Granite Falls). I would also encourage you to watch my tutorial about the Falcon Metal Detector. Many times I use the detector to go through the moss first and identify which has black sand (not all moss does), and then I start the process shown here.
