Clive lived in our household starting in September 2011 when we adopted him from the local SPCA. He had been in the shelter for over a year. His age wasn't known exactly but he was believed to be 7 y/o when we adopted him.

He was an incredible, giving, and peaceful friend to our whole family, as the above video/photo montage will attest to.

In September 2012 he had a "blockage" that we tried everything to fix, including major surgery. In the end, his kidneys shut down and the veterinarian told us the only option was to "put him down."

We miss him like you just wouldn't believe. Take all the sentiment and tears from Cara Hartmann's "I Love Cats," but without any hint of whimsy or silliness. That's how we felt about Clive. There has been much crying in our house, both the adults and the children. It's been tough, and only a few days ago we thought the surgery would save him.

CLIVE, WE LOVE YOU AND WE MISS YOU. WE HOPE YOU ARE IN A BETTER PLACE AND WILL HAVE NOTHING BUT JOY AND PEACE AND SNUGGLES FOREVER!!!!! Rest in Peace, friend.
