The video begins with our NDSU Bison Robotics project leads for Ri3D gave a presentation in front of the Central Minnesota Robotics Hub. We then go through a brief montage of footage throughout our day one of Ri3D. After the kickoff video, the team began by going the game manual and strategizing. We have our Bison Robotics president discuss what he foresees to be the most important game elements for Steamworks. Teams were formed and tasked with creating prototypes by the end of the day.
The video demonstrates four of our current prototypes that are at different stages. We have a prototype for a gear loader which uses servo motors and a bin to load and unload the gears. We demonstrate our current fuel intake idea that operates much like a conveyer belt. This is made possible by an open frame to stay within our volume limitations. We also show our current wheel shooter prototype that is able to shoot the fuel with a decent arc. Lastly, we demonstrate our cylinder climber idea that will allow us to climb with only one (possibly two) motor.
Kudos to our sponsors Becker High School, NDSU Student Government, REV Robotics, Andy Mark, Robot in 3 Days, and CIS 4607
