So basically... The edge of the coin that Kain hoped for, was for him and Raziel to be in the same place in the same time, which was tremendous considering the amount of time travel and deceit they were subject to. As a consequence, Mobius dies permanently, the Redeemer and the Destroyer become one, and the Elder God is exposed.

"I am not your enemy nor your destroyer, I am as before your right hand... your sword..." Raziel say that line so full of nostalgia that it hurts so much, but in the end he embraced his fate because at last he knew the truth he always looked for ;_;

I watched the entire Legacy over the course of three days, since my games don't all work correctly. I'm a little confused about how the series is said to not have an ending. Kain's corruption is cured, Raziel went back into the sword to complete his time loop and the Elder God was defeated so everyone could have free will. How is that not a proper ending? What did I miss?

I think Raziel is the Hylden's Champion, but then again the Hylden were enemies of the Elder God too. Perhaps Raziel and the Soul Reaver were prophesised to be allied with the Vampire's Champion (Kain) to destroy the Elder God. With the Elder God dead then everyone would have free will and be unchained from the Wheel of Fate. I think that's why the Elder God and Moebius (his servant) want Raziel to kill Kain. Raziel is the only one who can kill him. With the Vampire Champion dead then the Elder God would have won because the Vampires (who are immortal) would be extinct. Maybe that's what we would have learned in The Dark Prophecy. I remember seeing screenshots of the Hylden City.

HiViH -
Another year, and the time for me to re-watch this again.
From Wikipedia's article on The Legacy of Kain: "In October 2015, Crystal Dynamics' senior designer, Michael Brinker, revealed there was "a 50/50 chance" of a Legacy of Kain 6 single player game coming out during the Xbox One/PlayStation 4 generation." Spread the news, put pressure on the game developers, because there might still be hope.
