Les paroles ont été modifiées, sur une idée d'IsaBelle Mathieu et dans le cadre de son cours d'anglais de secondaire 4, par des élèves de ses groupes qui ont uni leurs idées pour écrire cette version pour Haïti. Voici les paroles;

When I get older, I will be stronger
Theyll call me freedom just like a waving flag

[Jets]
Were everyone, to build you a home
We promise you that we will help you

[Sharks]
But we have to work and do our homework
Knowledge has grown, thats why we know

[Cedric Tremblay, Olivier Corriveau, Nicolas Cadieux]
Forget the past and look to the future
Its where you will find a new life

[Musiciens]
And from our school, we will support you
Whatever happens, were there its true!

[Tous]
So were collecting,

[Frédérick Mathieu & Gabriel Geoffroy]
Money for building

[Tous]
And theyre hoping,

[Frédérick Mathieu & Gabriel Geoffroy]
Starting a new life

[Frédérick Mathieu & Julien Harvey]
We will not wait, for that sunny day
Its never too late, so Ozias will say

When I get older, I will be stronger
Theyll call me freedom just like a waving flag
And then it goes back, and then it goes back
and then it goes back, Wooho!

[Marianne Lamarche]
Make us believe, thats not the end

[Maëlle Auclair]
Give em our help, and our hands

[Mathilde Racine]
I heard em hope for a grateful day

[Gabriel Geoffroy]
Give its the answer, thats what they say

[Invités Spéciaux]
Cross out what happened, build a new heaven

[Séquelles en spectacle]
And were helping you by this event

[Techniciens]
Live to tell the tale, you have to start over

[Choristes UPTA+West Side]
But now were here, together were stronger!

[Tous]
So were collecting,

[Alexandre Langlois]
Money for building

[Tous]
And theyre hoping,

[Siloé Yassa-Roy]
Starting a new life

[Alexandre Langlois & Siloé Yassa Roy]
We will not wait, for that sunny day
Its never too late, so Ozias will say

Refrain X2

[Anthony Vigeant]
Help us to help them
Maybe if we know that happened there
We could make them live again
Build houses and give them clothes to wear
Even Ozias-Leduc and its young students
Can make a difference, so why are we waiting?

Thats why we are doing this event,
We have the power to change anything
Think about all the money you spent
On jewelry and a bunch of useless things
Money you could have given to people in need
Think of how many people you could feed
[IsaBelle Mathieu]
When I get older, I will be stronger
Theyll call me freedom
[Michaël Cyr]
Just like a waving flag
And then it goes back, and then it goes back
[IsaBelle Mathieu]
And then it goes back
+ Refrain X2
[Ariane Leblanc-Bisson]
When I get older
When I get older
I will be stronger
Just like a waving flag
