While visiting family in LeRoy, Kansas Dale and Ken showed me their 5 lb Hit and Miss Engine they rebuilt. Ken picked it up at an Estate Auction with the idea of getting it running for fun. He had no idea it was going to be such a project. The spark plug was not sparking so he had to hunt down a new one. He found a company on the internet but was floored to find out the price. $28.00 for a spark plug that measured no more than a half an inch tall. The tiny carburetor was very touchy and hard to adjust so Kens brother suggested he use a gas powered RC car carburator. It worked perfectly. For the coil he used an original Model T coil that he had collected at an earlier Estate Auction. The gas he runs is pre-mixed with oil and the battery is from a motorcycle.
