Competition fuels Chicago entrepreneur Corri McFadden. Corri started her business eight years ago with $37 and a thirst for success. Today, eDrop-Off, Corri's online luxury consignment shop, sells 2,500 items a week, employs 47, and has grown 2,000 percent since its creation. Corri is committed to making Chicago a leading city in the fashion world.

"Competition is healthy," Corri says. "I think a lot of people get discouraged and think, 'Oh, someone is doing the same thing.' But with me, thats what stimulates me."

Corri's story is the first in our new series, "Betting on Illinois," which chronicles entrepreneurs who are making Illinois great again. This series highlights the passion that Illinois entrepreneurs possess, the importance of competition, and the tension between burdensome government regulation and entrepreneurial growth.
