A frozen embryo transfer is used for producing a feasible pregnancy by first thawing the frozen embryo, and then transferring it into a suitably prepared uterus. Frozen embryo transfer is also known as embryo freezing or cryopreservation of embryo, which is commonly used. This treatment to set up a pregnancy with the help of frozen embryos is called a thaw cycle or a frozen embryo transfer cycle or a FET cycle.
