GAIJIN TIPS #27 - Insult Japan? Insult my culture - 日本の悪口？心に傷つく

(字幕あり)　When people talk about Japanese culture, they sometimes forget that its my culture too. I live here, I practice it, so of course I am insulted when people speak ill of Japan or Japanese because it is just as if they are speaking of me.

So becareful who you talk to, when you talk about a country to the residents, regardless if they were born there or not, don't use words or phrases to insult the culture.

ある国に生まれなくても、住んでいる地域の文化は、自分の文化なんです。　その地域に住んでいる人の前で、悪口を言わないほうがいいよ。　私の前で「日本人ってさあ～」から悪口を発言する外国の方が多くて、ちょっと心に傷つ­くね。　その「日本人」って、「私」のことを話してだと思う。　気をつけて会話してね。
