Recorded in Wells Cathedral, May 1965. Choir of Wells Cathedral, directed by Denys Pouncey. Organ: Anthony Crossland.

In 1965, the Blandford Press published a set of five music books under the collective title “The Treasury of English Church Music”. A year later, EMI issued (on the HMV label) a set of five complementary LPs, illustrating the collection and including performances by the choirs of St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Chichester Cathedral, Guildford Cathedral and the Ambrosian Singers. The original LPS have been re-released as a box set of CDs, which also includes "bonus items" from other choirs. This is one of those “bonus items”.
