Michelle Crawford competed in the 2012 Garage Games War of the WODs in Greensboro, North Carolina. She is an amazing athlete and in this particular WOD, she had to complete 21-15-9 of ground to overhead and burpee ring pull ups while wearing a weighted vest. Weighted vests are used to increase resistance during an exercise, especially body weight ones. Pull-ups on the rings are more difficult than those on a bar because rings are unstable and require more effort from the athlete to perform correctly. Michelle tackled this WOD with no problems. Even though she has high level competition experience, she had this to say about competing: "I am grateful to all of the local boxes who take the time and the effort to put on competitions. It is one thing to do a WOD in your box, where you are comfortable with the equipment, the surroundings, and the people. It is entirely different to put yourself out there, travel to a different box, and have to perform under pressure. I truly want to throw up before every competition WOD because I am so nervous, but I do it because I believe it is making me a better CrossFitter!" And it is, Michelle! Good Ass Work!!
