Mount Sinai School of Medicine is committed to promoting and supporting diversity and inclusion in the research, clinical, and educational realms, and to meeting the needs of our diverse students, faculty, staff, and the communities we serve. We are committed to increasing the representation of women, ethnic minorities, and individuals who are members of groups underrepresented in medicine and science among our trainees, research and clinical faculty and our leadership.
The Center for Multicultural and Community Affairs (CMCA) provides an environment which nurtures students, faculty, and trainees from groups underrepresented in the medical and biomedical research workforces at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Since its inception in 1998, the CMCA has become an integral part of Mount Sinai, helping to strengthen ties with its communities and making the diversity of the medical and graduate student body at Mount Sinai School of Medicine rank among the best in the nation and expanding the pipeline to improve the diversity of its faculty and trainees.
