It's not difficult to change the battery of a Toyota Prius Smart Key (2004-2009 models). This video shows a 2006 (Generation 2) Prius key fob. The battery is a CR2032, available at any drugstore. You just need small jewelers phillips and flat head screwdrivers. This doesn't require reprogramming or a visit to the dealership. Please check the comments and replies if your key fob is difficult to open, lots of people have posted great suggestions.
