Lama Losang Samten, mandala master based in Philadelphia (http://www.losangsamten.com), explains some the symbolism of the "Wheel of Life" mandala in Tibetan Buddhism.

The mandala creation took place during the Santa Barbara Tibet Summit (http://sbtibet.com), a "Tibetan Cultural Week of Celebration and Education to increase awareness of Tibetan cultural, philosophical and spiritual richness, and educate citizens about current affairs in TIbet."
