Materials Needed:
1. large empty water bottle
2. scissors
3. clear tape (translucent or scotch works fine too)
4. knife
5. banana peel (banana works best, but if you dont have that in your part of the world, use soda or anything heavy in natural sugar)

- Make sure you have done your dishes and taken out your garbage.
- Make sure that you have no other bananas accessible or available to the flies. Eat them or put them in plastic. The bait in the bottle is the only thing you want for them to be able to eat.
- You can put the bottle in the freezer for a few minutes to kill them quickly if you want. Then put it back out for more.
- Each trap can last about 3 to 5 days. That should be long enough to take care of your problem if you follow the directions.
- You can also make one of these for bees and wasps using a 2 liter bottle and honey or syrup. Thanks for the variation funkworm!
