Veteran literary agent and intellectual property developer Peter Miller, the "Literary Lion," roars about the metamorphosis of a book to a film at the Pacific Northwest Writers Association Conference in Seattle, WA. In his long career, Miller has sold over 1,000 books and presided over 150 feature film and television deals, representing such clients as three-time New York Times best-selling author Vincent Bugliosi ("Helter Skelter"), Ken Robinson ("The Element"), Jean Sasson ("Princess") and Nancy Taylor Rosenberg ("Mitigating Circumstances"). He offers his leonine wisdom to up-and-coming authors, including "slow down and get it right before you seek representation," pursue your dreams but "be ready to play the game," and urging every writer to become "a marketing wizard," using the internet and producing three-minute "book trailers" to promote their work. Most importantly, Miller reminds his audience that writing a book is one of the most wonderful experiences one can have -- particularly if that book is published, perhaps one day even made into a feature film or television show. But the key is to always love what you're doing, as he loves his work. "Because," says The Lion, "I love the magic of words and the possibility that they can become movies." Produced, directed and edited by Michael Harris, Baby Wild Films. www.GlobalLionManagement.com
