This is the work I did in my first 2D animation class at the Art Institute of Portland. Ball Bounce - We were shown how to make a ball bounce using fundamental concepts of animation. Ball Bounce Off Wall In Perspective - We had to use what we learned with the ball bounce and add the elements of an obstacle to bounce off of and foreshortening to create a sense of depth. Flour Sack Emotions - Using the character of a living flour sack, we had to convey emotions purely through movement. Secondary Action Test - This was an in-class test where we had to show our ability to control secondary action (action that follows another action, in this case the scarf). Cartoon Take Test - This was another in-class test where we had to make a cartoon do a double take. Walk Cycle - We had to, not only make a character walk, but make it walk with personality. Final Project - For our final animation, we had to use almost everything we had learned in the class (walking, jumping, personality, etc.).
