Patrick Lewallen is a 13-year-old 7th grader at Ryukyu Middle School in Okinawa, Japan. He's a member of the National Junior Honor Society and the Order of the Arrow Honor Society of the Boy Scouts. He enjoys football and soccer. The best place he's been is China; he saw the Terra Cotta Warriors and climbed the Great Wall.

Patrick will be competing at the national level of the National Geographic Bee in Washington, D.C. Watch the top ten students compete for scholarships totaling $50,000 on the National Geographic Channel on Thursday, May 23 at 7 p.m. The finals will be broadcast later on public television stations.
