The wars of the contemporary world have forced more and more people to leave their homelands in order to survive. These refugees, seeking freedom and peace, find that borders that are not always open. The world follows their crossings, their struggles in the headlines and on the nightly news, but does the news speak of the humanity that unites us? Have we forgotten that these refugees are our brothers and sisters in mankind and we are one in the same. “We are you. You are we. Blessed be... Dying to be free.” The song “Dying to Be Free” is a tribute to the millions of refugees our modern world has created. It is an anthem to our displaced brothers and sisters who inspire us, inspire our art and make us grateful for the freedom to raise our voices. So, we raise our voices for them. We make a joyful noise for them. And we hope that in some way, big or small, this song will contribute to the freedom and peace that so many have risked their lives for. “Dying to Be Free” is the first official video clip from DNA Urbano, with special participation by Haitian rapper Vox Sambou. Directed by Isbela Faria Trigo.
