Shortly after 10 year old Taylor began having headaches, a CT scan revealed a tumor in her brain that her doctor thought to be cancerous. Taylor's mother Lori decided to bring Taylor to see Dr. Alan Cohen at Boston Children's Hospital for treatment. Dr. Cohen operated on Taylor in the MR/OR and completely removed her tumor. The pathology reports showed that the tumor was not cancer.
A week later, Taylor has been discharged from Children's and looking forward to going home. She has a stiff neck that Cohen assures her will go away with time and she will live a normal life. The steroids she's been taking to reduce swelling in her brain have made her a bit moody and have given her a big appetite, but Lori thinks it's a small price to pay.
