2299 is a game created around the web comic of the same name, funny that! Created and Written by Bryan Lunduke, Graphics by Joshua Jones the game and the web comic can be found over at http://2299online.com/

The game is $5 US and available DRM free on Linux, OSX and Windows. I cross my fingers for an Android version but that's just me being optimistic as there have been no announcements from Bryan about any plans to do so.

The game and the comic are a funny sci-fi story about messing around IN SPACE and are full of references to other Sci-fi shows, films, games and what not. In the video I give away the beginning of the game and play it badly. (I hadn't done a pre run-down to check what or how things are done).

It's easy to learn and has one of the cleanest interfaces of a point and click adventure I've ever seen, only thing I would say about the controls and that is hot keys. They would make playing the game a bit quicker, and add a different way to play the game, thats not a citicism of the game just somthing I would of liked to have seen.

Quick note, the music is not from the game, I picked it because it sounded retro sci-fi a little Kubrick space odyssey style.

"2299 : THE GAME" coming to AmigaOS, OS/2, Haiku and more... by way of... DOS?! http://lunduke.com/?p=2228
