Rosa speaks in support of the Jobs for Main Street Act which passed the House on December 16, 2009. This legislation will create and preserve jobs throughout the country with targeted investments in infrastructure, schools, local law enforcement and firefighters, small businesses, job training, and affordable housing. It will also provide emergency relief to Americans who are struggling during this economic depression by extending unemployment insurance, extending COBRA health insurance benefits, and making the Child Tax Credit available to all low-income working families with children in 2010. These initiatives will be funded by redirecting Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) funds.
