The small mod gets rid of the "tweeter" and there are two welds holding the tweeter in the back to the spark arrestor (pain in the ass to break) sounds like more air or exhaust coming out and you can't really notice it while riding, still hear the motor more than exhaust. The large mod gets rid of the spark arrestor and lets exhaust note out, notice the exhaust more than the motor sound. The exhaust tip quiets it down a little but you can still here motor over exhaust at higher RPM's and is still louder than the small mod, with more of a bass thump. If the tube I.D. was larger it would be a louder exhaust note and smaller I.D. tube would be more quiet for anyone who doesn't like the exhaust after the mod is done.
