IN DEVELOPMENT NEWS
After a long seven week wait, Revelation Software has just posted the next OpenInsight 9.3 beta release to the beta site. Nearly every item noted in the beta bug tracker has been addressed and this latest release includes a number of enhancements from the Conference and the UK User group meetings. In addition, it features suggestions from the beta testers. If you have reported an issue, and it has been corrected, please change its status in the bug tracker.
We also have an update for those of you eagerly awaiting the OpenInsight for QM data connector. Development is progressing nicely and the new connector will be included in the OpenInsight 9.3.1 release due out in early 2012. OPENQM is a MultiValue database from LADYBRIDGE SYSTEMS LIMITED.

The Compilation Status control displays compilation messages. The Editor++ has the ability to display multiple compilation errors.
When a data record with a corresponding dictionary is opened in the Editor++ the Record Information tab contains the schema on the current data row.
Text can be searched and globally replaced using the Find Text / Replace Text control.
Finally, you can now add active entities / records to the Favorites List for easy access.

IN OTHER NEWS
Mike Ruane, President and CEO of Revelation Software, was recently in the UK, meeting with customers and presenting at a UKRUG meeting and providing O4W Wizard and API training.
On Tuesday, November 8th over 25 attendees from England, Ireland, Germany, and South Africa attended a UK Revelation User Group meeting. During the meeting, Mike brought the group up to date on the state of the Revelation product line and plans for the future. He also demonstrated new features in OpenInsight 9.3. The attendees were very enthusiastic, and offered a number of comments and suggestions.
On Wednesday, November 9th Mike stayed in training mode as he taught a full day session on O4W Wizards and APIs at the Revelation UK headquarters. Nine attendees were given instruction and demonstrations on the various O4W Wizards for Form, Report, and Dashboard creation and modification. After a nice lunch at a local pub, the training continued with O4W programming, using the O4W Application Programmer Interfaces (APIs). The course covered existing functionality, as well as new features available in OpenInsight 9.3. One attendee even joined the Beta program and downloaded the 9.3 Beta as he was going to the airport, so you can tell that the training went over well.
Elkie Holland of PROSPECTUS has created a short video that touches on the highlights of the London RUG. The video can be found on the ProspectusIT YouTube channel.

That is the news from the Revelation Software world. See you next time on the Revelation Software News Update.
