On the cruise that the Carl Vinson was on (CVN-70) on the return trip after 9-11, we got hit with waves off the coast of Oregon that put white water on the same windows this video is shot out of in this video. One of the waves ripped a large chunk of the catwalk up on the port side of the flight deck.

The pilot of the helicopter was a bit perturbed to find a jellyfish in his seat the next day when getting ready for the mail run

Shouldn't you move that aircraft/helicopter so it doesn't get thrown off? I know its tied down but still. That just seems dangerous to gamble with millions of dollars of hardware.

I didn't even see the helicopter until the end.. And then the first thing in my head: Holy shit, did a dolphin just end up on the ship??...

I didn't see the video because I was hypnotised by that windscreen wiper..

that is amazing heard of big waves but that takes the cake, must have been both frightening, and cool at the same time. I danced around in 10-12 foot waves on the black ball ferry deck through the straights in Washington state but this thing is massive in comparison.
