Schools around Minnesota became a little greener on September 16, 2010 as volunteers from more than 70 companies statewide spent the day planting trees. The tree planting was part of "Green for Life," an event organized by the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association. Organizers say the trees will not only help to shade schools during the warmer months of the year, but can also help to reduce noise around classrooms.
