I don't recall the name of a particular glacier in Greenland, but it is moving toward the sea at a rate of 140 feet "per day". I have seen video of this and it's crazy Water has been getting under the base, which helps it move along with a lot less resistance. That would be the OLD and the NEW ice. It's a scary sight to see this thing moving along pushing huge boulders as though they weren't even there.

i bought me a boat...but the water didn´t rice half an inch...so what kind of shit are they telling us ever and ever....
it didnt all melt.....it just "all started" melting!!! the area in white in the first pic normally never unthaws. come on people read carefully. its still not a good thing....or is it?

Why don't some of you try reading the article. Nasa says that according to the ice cores samples taken this kind of melting happens every 150 years or so. It is right on time according to NASA. Second the ice did not all melt, there is surface melting in those areas the ice is not all gone.
Ireland was underwater for 2000 years after the Ice Age ice sheet retreated!
Global warming is very real and islands that have been inhabited for thousands of years are now foundering and going under water (for example, the Corcoran Islands north of New Guinea), but this is due to other factors than the Greenland Ice Sheet melting all at once, which in fact will take 2000 years. This article is highly misleading, and a product of ignorance more than anything else.
