Byther Smith --- the Chicago blues, cult-figure popularized by his high-intensity performances and captivating song writing. Born in Mississippi, Byther "Smitty" Smith relocated to Chicago in the mid-50's and started his pursuit of music. A rhythm guitarist for Otis Rush, Smith honed his playing skills with tips from the likes of J.B. Lenoir (his first cousin), Robert Lockwood Jr & Hubert Sumlin. "Smith's fiery fretwork and ferocious vocals hit like a heavyweight punch --- he can be downright scary, never a bad quality for a blues man."
Growing up in Maryland, Bobby Radcliff began his guitar education with classical guitar lessons at the age of 12. Following his initiation into the music world, Radcliff moved to New York City in 1977 where Black Top records took a liking to his "strengths as a soloist, as well as a funky rhythm guitarist". (WFLR-FM) Having toured the US, Canada, and Europe more than a dozen times Radcliff always leaves audiences stunned with "his jaw-dropping skills as a guitarist."
