Clashes between supporters of the anti-capitalist "Blockupy" movement and police have continued today (18 March) in Germany's financial capital, Frankfurt.

The crowds gathered ahead of an huge anti-austerity protest over the inauguration of the European Central Bank's new headquarters, burning cars and creating blockades in an attempt to prevent the opening ceremony of the building taking place.
