This Video was taken in june 11th in Luton, beds,UK. Rov my CO is pictured at 12 months and i am in the early stages of getting him ready for the European dog show. The show world is very new to me i have been involved with dogs for many years with Rottweilers, central asian Ovcharka and now Caucasian but have never been in a show ring so it will be very intresting indeed. Rov was shown 4 times in Romania and Bulgaria before he arrived in the UK, and won every show becoming junior CH of both countrys so atleast he will know what he is doing LOL. The reason i decided to go was for the experiance and perhaps it will be chance to meet other owners and CO. Rovy may look like a fluffy bear "show" type which is true of most CO in appearance because the most populiar type is the heavier grey black masked dogs but he has more formidable gaurding drive then any Rottie then i have ever seen or owned. At 8 months he was quite willing challenge people he considered a threat its good to have the level of protection he offers home and family but you have to be aware that these dogs are not to happy with stranger handling or being aproached by people acting odd or starring to much. Unlike CAO he will not warn to keep the threat outside the boundry he will "act" when it comes into range. Any obvoiuse threatening movements are met with an attempt to fight the threat. In normal daily life he is great its not like i have to scan every thing when i walk him and he loves other dogs in a very over the top pushy way ,but being independant i certainly would not allow him of the extended lead in a busy urban park and expect hi to respond to me like a gsd.
