In Orissa under the Freedom of Religion Act of 1967 whoever wishes to convert has to first apply to the Collector (local Magistrate). But in the Indian constitution, it grants all citizens the freedom of Religion...
So where is that Freedom when the poor people of Orissa needs it? The Hindu state government and the radicals are conducting a campaign of violence and destruction.
Hindus make up around 50% of the state while the Christians make up around 25% (and rising sharply) and the local tribal religions & other religions make up the other 25%.
