http://www.studioroosegaarde.net/ For the second temporary pavilion at Cultuurmijl the architect Theo Reitsema invited the artist Daan Roosegaarde. Together they designed 'Divine', an interactive pavilion consisting of light and technology taking its visitors in a sensual direction. The design is based on the architecture of Gerrit Rietveld and Mies van der Rohe, taking it into the 22nd century.
'Divine' reacts to its visitors and their movements. The space is brought to life and changes in appearance and behavior. For this a special 'smart material' is used which can change from black to transparent. As sensual pavilion of the 22nd century it uses the senses of the visitors to personalize architecture.
Commissioned by Grenswerk 2010. Placed at the Museumlaan in Enschede NL.
