Four kiwi mountaineers make the historic first ascent of the coveted west ridge of Taulliraju (5830m) in the Cordillera Blanca of Peru, one of the most difficult peaks in the Andes. Over five days in late June 2016 the demanding 1-km long ridge-line was climbed in pure alpine style by members of the New Zealand Alpine Team as part of an Expedition Climbers Club expedition.
