College-bound students from Orange County and Palos Verdes, their families, teachers, elected official, city representatives and Cox Communications employees celebrated the achievements of 14 high school seniors at the Aliso Viejo Country Club on June 15, 2016. Through the Cox Charities Foundation, these students were named 2016 Cox Scholars and received scholarships ranging from $1,500 to $5,000. They were also recognized for their successes in the classroom and in the community. Two students received scholarships from the James C. Kennedy Scholarship Fund as children of Cox employees. Also, Innovation in Education grants to schools and teachers were awarded to help fund innovative programs in our schools.
