UK based campaigns for safe infrastructure for all road users, Stop Killing Cyclists and Stop The Killing, announce a major national event that will bring together people from across the country to mark the deaths and injuries that are caused by traffic violence, whether they be a result of bad infrastructure, inadequate legal provision or the impact of climate change provoked by vehicular exhaust, and to demand real positive change in the way roads are seen as public spaces. They will do this with a hybrid symbolic funeral procession and protest to be held on one of London's premier tourist attractions, Oxford Street, in late 2014. All road users are welcome to particpate in what will be a peaceful, dignified and creative event, that will give a voice to grief, hope and determination.
