Wala-Wala was an emaciated pregnant stray when she was hit by a car in June 2009. When animal rescue found her, her dying babies were wrapped by their umbilical cords around her injured hind legs. She was bleeding profusely and unable to walk. The vets performed an emergency surgery to save her life. After I heard her story, I decided to foster this sweet girl and rehabilitate her. In the beginning she could only drag her hind legs. As time went by, she got stronger and learned to stand up and walk again. Now Wala-Wala is running around the house. She is very funny, playful and sweet. Much healthier and far different from the cat we met a half year ago.
UPDATE March 2010: After 7 months of caring for her, a family finally came to adopt her. I miss Wala-wala enormously but I know she is in good hands and is much happier.
