The Political struggle in Wisconsin
Candy devotes no attention to the issue of whether state government employees should have more rights than federal employees and should be able to negotiate benefits that will be paid for by future taxpayers. The issue is whether this creates an incentive to exchange the votes of federal employees for retirement and other benefits in the future, an incentive that few politicians can resist. They get the votes now and don't have to be accountable for that increase in state spending because when the bills come due they are already out of office . Most politicians cannot resist this incentive and giveaway large benefits in exchange for the support of the state employees votes.

Instead, Candy wants to talk strategies, whether Barrett is using the right strategy. Candy is saying that Barrett is not using the right strategy, claiming he is declining full support from the national Democrats. . She is accusing him of using the wrong strategy and thus inoculating the Democrats in case of a loss. She wants to be able to say he lost because he used the wrong strategy, not because he was on the wrong side of the issue. Obviously, Candy, is fearful that a loss in Wisconsin will be viewed as a national referendum on the issue, and since she is in favor of the Democrats and the state employees receiving the large benefits In other states she doesn't want the recall election to be viewed as a decisive victory for the people she opposes. This is why she talks about the strategy and not the issue. Her concern is how this recall vote will be viewed by the country if the Democrats lose. Clearly she has a horse in the race and as a result cannot see the whole field.

If I interviewed her, would she claim not to have an opinion on the subject, like her other guest Dan Balz claimed when I interviewed him. He claimed that he did not give his opinions and you just saw him on the show, giving his opinion. Take a look ON YOU TUBE, watch the expression on his face when I ask him for his opinion.
