He hasn't yet announced whether or not he'll run for president in 2012, but Texas Governor Rick Perry (R) has definitely caught the attention of the nation during his time in office.

Since 2009, 37 percent of new U.S. jobs created have come from Texas. A fact that, instead of being praised, has drawn criticism from the likes of Time magazine, which recently termed Perry a mere "job poacher."

"You are going to become a real problem in America, they're going to say, because you're hurting states like California that are just trying to keep their heads above water," Beck told the governor, tongue in cheek. Perry says that that sort of competition is what our country was founded on.

"It's really that competition that's going to make America strong again," he said.

Changing topics, Beck also asked Perry to weigh in on a recent headline that made shockwaves. In the story in question, a 95-year-old woman was frisked at the airport and told to take her adult diaper off in order to accomodate a TSA search. Gov. Perry is one politician who has fought back against what some call undue invasion of privacy by introducing legislation that would ban intrusive TSA patdowns.

Perry says that recently, the TSA has begun to respond to the threat of this legislation. "Hopefully other states in the country will stand up and say, 'You know what? We're not going to allow federal employees to abuse the people in our states," Perry said.
