Advocates opposing bullying in the workplace had a press conference in front of San Francsico hall on October 21, 2013 to publicize the proclamation by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors recognizing the national Bully Free Workplace Week. Speakers discussed the systemic problems of workplace bullying and how they and their families have been personally affected by this hostile workplace environment. Additionally speakers talked about the attack on whistleblowers who report financial malfeasance and other illegal activities and then are targeted by management and SF city officials who allow their discharged while keeping those who are responsible for these activities on the payroll.
