Play around with the ingredients here and make this chili your own! We often add extra chili powder, and hot sauce!

1 pound (455g) ground beef
1 diced white or yellow onion
3 ribs diced celery
1 diced green bell pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 -26 ounce (796 mL) can tomato puree
1 -19 ounce (540 mL) can kidney beans with liquid
1 -19 ounce (540 mL) can kidney beans, drained
1 -19 ounce (540 mL)can cannellini beans with liquid
½ Tbsp (7 mL) chili powder
1 tsp (5 mL) salt
1 tsp (5 mL) dried basil
1 tsp (5 mL) dried oregano
¼ tsp (1 mL) ground black pepper
¼ tsp (1 mL) hot pepper sauce

Brown the beef over medium heat. (this is optional, you can place ground beef uncooked directly into slow cooker)
Place the beef in a slow cooker, mixing in onion, celery, green bell pepper, garlic, tomato puree, kidney beans, and cannellini beans (you can drain and rinse if you feel strongly about it). Season with chili powder, salt, basil, oregano, black pepper, and hot pepper sauce.
Cover, and cook 8 hours on Low.
