Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK. Despite this, it is a disease which can often strike men 'out of the blue' due a concerning lack of knowledge about the disease.
There are 250,000 men living with prostate cancer in the UK, and throughout March, Tthe Prostate Cancer Charity is calling on people across the UK to get involved and show support for the men living with the disease.
Dave Prowse, best known for playing the over-sized and menacing Darth Vader in the first Star Wars film, knows all about prostate cancer and was first diagnosed in 2009 before a year-long battle with the disease which eventually saw him go into remission a year later in 2010.
This year, as part of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, Dave has decided to 'use the force' to fight the disease and is one of the faces supporting the Charity's partnership with high-street retailer Marks & Spencer. Alongside, DJ Neil Fox, Dave will be part of an in-store campaign which has seen M&S raise over £1million for the cause over the past six five years.
Do you know someone who has suffered from pProstate cCancer? Are you worried that you may have the disease? Do you know what lifestyle factors can lower your chances of developing Prostate Cancer? Would you like to know more about how you can get involved in Prostate Cancer Awareness Month?
If you answered yes to any of the above, then log into our live and interactive webTV show with Dave Prowse and Owen Sharp, CEO of The Prostate Cancer Charity for all you need to know about Prostate Cancer.
