In this video we review Blaze Rush with the Oculus rift DK2 primarily looking at the DK2 implementation and the games performance in VR.

Blaze rush was one of those games that completely caught me by surprise. Often when non VR games that get VR support it seems more of an after-thought with the DK2 SDK hurriedly pushed into the title as if its a tick-box that needed to be ticked.

With Blaze Rush however the game feels as if it were made for VR out of the box ! The game runs with absolutely no stutter or noticeable latency with flawless head tracking, furthermore the developer has done a fantastic job making UI elements and the game menu comfortable to use and crystal clear to read.

Surprisingly for what is a top down arcade racer the graphics are mind blowing, with the particle effects especially standing out thanks to the stereo 3D of the DK2.

I have yet to play through the full single player of the game and this is very much more a look at the DK2 implementation. But from a glance it appears the physics weapons and AI will come together to make a very enjoyable experience !

You can buy blaze-rush on steam for £6.99 which if you own a DK2 would make you insane not to pick it up.
