When, at the insistence of the senior musicians involved, Jo Harman started going on under her own name rather than as a member 'Soul Reality Collective', one song in particular really secured her reputation as a compelling live performer. It wasn't a song she had written. it was a tune written by an artist she admired hugely, Citizen Cope. But it wasn't so much her love for Cope, who she had seen play live at London's Borderline, that had brought her to the tune; it was more the tune itself and, most of all, the lyric. There was something in those words, or her interpretation of those words, which touched something very deep in Jo psyche. This depth of feeling was, in turn, conveyed to the audience every time she performed it.

It was also never included in any of Jo's official albums or even attempted as a studio recording  - save for this one time when, she performed a very different, organic, version in a acoustic recording session with producer Andy Strange. Recorded live, pretty much in one take, with no separation, no edits or re-takes, with everyone in one room, just coming up with it 'in the moment'. 'Everyone' being Jo, American guitarist Chris Newland on acoustic and Melvin Duffy on Dobro. It was a very different take again from her full band version performed in concert, but still charming and compelling, albeit in an entirely different way.

Cope himself says of the tune 'Super Cool . Nice version . I really like it ' and Jo has been invited to open for Cope on this Autumn tour of the UK beginning next month.
The tune has attracted well over 100,000 Spotify plays in the last 28 days and good support from radio, BBC included.
