In February 2011, Oceana Chile, National Geographic and the Chilean Navy embarked on an expedition to Chile's remote Salas y Gómez Island and Easter Island. The results of this unprecedented collaboration will be the baseline for monitoring the new Marine Park around Salas y Gómez, whose creation was announced in October 2010 by the Chilean government. This video is featured in the Spring 2011 issue of the Oceana Multimedia Magazine, which can be accessed at http://www.oceanamag.org/spring2011/.
