A brief tutorial on how to imitate the quick mask feature of Photoshop using the free photo editor Paint.net (www.getpaint.net).
I find quick mask extremely useful for selecting both broad and narrow areas rather quickly without having to worry about making a mistake with the selection tools. Quick mask would be a great feature for Paint.net, but for the time being, the technique I display here will have to do. I hope you find it handy.
*I call this "soft mask" in the video, which is inaccurate. I apologize for any confusion. Thanks for not jumping down my throat about it.
