Running Stitch is the most basic sewing stitch.
Make the distances between every stitch shorter could give a better result for your work.
This stitch is fast to do and thread economic, however compared to Back Stitch, Running Stitch is less firm and less strong.

You also can use Running Stitch as an embroidery stitch, the stitch distance will affect your style of the work piece, the longer stitch distance will result a easy-going looking, instead the shorter stitch distance will create a delicate style.
