The official launch of the AGIS Africa Initiative. This initiative of the University of Limerick (UL) in partnership with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) will deliver a unique programme - UL's MSc in Multilingual Computing and Localisation (Distance Learning), co-hosted by UNECA at their Information Training Centre for Africa (ITCA) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The initiative is supported by GALA and The Rosetta Foundation.

Professor Don Barry, President University of Limerick and Ms Aida Opoku-Mensah, Director ICT, UNECA were joined by Mr Hans Fenstermacher, CEO GALA , Mr Gary Muddyman, Chairman of the GALA board and Reinhard Schäler, CEO and Founder The Rosetta Foundation, at the formal launch of the programme.
