The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help in solving an armed robbery that occurred in Northeast Portland's Irvington neighborhood.

On Friday October 19, 2012, at 12:17 a.m., Portland Police officers responded to the report of an armed robbery at the Plaid Pantry located at 1715 Northeast 16th Avenue.

Officers arrived in the area and spoke with the victim who told police that the suspect entered the store and displayed a handgun as he demanded money. The victim gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect fled the store and into the neighborhood on foot.

Officers, including a Police K-9 Unit, conducted a neighborhood search but did not locate anyone matching the suspect's description.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, 5'11" tall, 175 pounds, shoulder-length stringy brown hair, dark stocking cap, sunglasses, a multi-colored sweater, and black pants with the word "SEASIDE" written down the side of the left leg.
