Steps to disable background programs:

Search Windows for msconfig.exe then select System Configuration from the results list. (Alternatively you can type msconfig.exe in Windows Run command.)
In System Configuration, click the General tab.
Click the box to select Selective Startup then remove the checkmark next to Load startup items.
Click the Services tab.
Click the Hide all Microsoft services checkbox, then click Disable all.
Click Apply, then click OK.
Restart your computer.
