This video shows tracking software designed by the Developmental Biomechanics Lab at Imperial College London, recording the kick of a 24 week gestation fetus in a cine-MRI. Tracking the movements of the hip, knee and ankle joints allows our researchers to calculate how strong the baby's kick is, and the effect of these kicks on the fetal skeleton.
